RARITY !!!
Old original wooden hanger from the passenger steamer "Queen Marija" from the fleet of Yugoslav Lloyd Split.
Massive, very high-quality hanger - hanger length 42 cm, thickness 8 mm.
Excellently preserved.
The steamship "Queen Marija" was a large transoceanic luxury tourist steamship for cruises, the largest steamship in history that sailed under one of the flags on our Adriatic coast.
"Queen Marija" was the pride of the passenger fleet of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia for ten years. The people of Dubrovnik gave him a magnificent welcome on the occasion of his arrival in Dubrovnik in 1931.
The ship had several lounges (one for non-smokers), a bar, a cafe, a swimming pool and as many as 40 bathrooms. The guests were entertained by a lounge orchestra and a jazz band that played during lunch and dinner and in the evening for dancing. A movie was also shown every evening. A doctor was on duty in the ship's infirmary, and passengers had a wireless radio telegraph station, a hair salon, a library and a photographer at their disposal. Indeed, all the miracles of that time. (source: Dubr. diary).
